With everyone just getting over Thanksgiving and the craziness of black Friday, Christmas comes right around the corner in this month of December. A lot of people in these holiday months are running around figuring out what plans they have with their friends and family. Being one of the special months of giving, people figure out the gifts they want to give and decide the ones theyโ€™d like to recieve.

Julia Pudiquet, a senior said, โ€œFor this Christmas since I always spend it with my family, this year, I have planned on staying home with family and watching movies.โ€

โ€œThis Christmas I am flying to Canada to spend time with family,โ€ Josie Natarajan, a senior adds.

Karalee Butler, also a senior said, โ€œThis Christmas, I plan on celebrating with my family in our new house. Everyย  Christmas I go to my grandparents house in the morning and we open presents collectively with my whole family. Traditions are something I really value because I love being able to share this experience with my family. I ultimately cannot wait for my family members to open the gifts I got them.โ€

As many students love the holidays, people tend to do relatively the same traditional things during this time. Most people value the holiday traditions and pass it on generation to generation.

Pudiquet said, โ€œA tradition me and my family have is to stay at home and have hot cocoa and watch The Grinch that Stole Christmas and also be home alone in this cold month.โ€

To show appreciation for a people someone cares about such as friends or family, we give gifts to show that appreication. Most people tend to get meaningful gifts or go all out to show their appreciation, both are gratefully appreciated by the receiver! Moreover the idea is to show appreciation to your friends, loved ones, and anyone in your everyday life. Spread holiday cheer. Christmas is also all about putting the tree up, seeing Christmas lights, spending quality time with friends and family, and having a good time.
