Students await college acceptance notices

High school is almost over for seniors, the next chapter in our life is almost here, so what’s next, college?

Many seniors at Tracy High have been doing one thing they have been waiting for since they were freshmen, applying to colleges. A stressful and exciting time for many students.

But that is not even the hardest part, waiting to see if you were accepted to college is the most difficult part. It is that time of the year where acceptance letters have not  been sent out to many seniors. As for the seniors who have been accepted yet, it can be nerve racking.

Not knowing where you will be spending your next four years or if you got into your dream college can be very stressful. Days, weeks, and months go by without students knowing and it can be hard to cope. Many students try not to think too much about it.

College applications can be tricky because it sometimes admittance depends on your major. It could be months until you hear back from a school, even when someone else has already been accepted.

Not only that, but applying for financial aid is happening now, too. Students are now eligible to apply for Financial Aid, FASFA, and scholarships, if you meet the requirements. Just more stress that has been added to the seniors that will be going to college.

Many students who apply to college hope to get in. It can be very hard for students who waste money and apply but don’t get in.
