Senior tailgate was the first major senior event of the year. It consisted of many activites and food choices for the seniors to enjoy. Most of the events went as planned and many students seemed to enjoy it.

“I think it went really well,” Senior Class President Victoria Gracie said. “It seemed like people were having fun.”

Many events took place during senior tailgate such as volleyball, soccer, swimming, and football. Volleyball was the main sport being played and seemed to be the highlight of the day for many students.

“My favorite part was definitely watching the volleyball games,” Gracie said. “It was so funny.”

For many students, however, the highlight of the day was simply just spending time with their friends.
“My favorite part was spending time with my friends,” Omira Nawid said.

For some students the fact that this was the first major senior event of the year made a great impact on them.

“It feels crazy,” Regine Anne Manuel said. “I can’t believe that we are finally seniors.”

However for other students it didn’t have such a great effect.

“I feel normal,” Nawid said. “Life goes on.”

Although senior tailgate was a lot of fun for people the weather seemed to cause a problem.

“My least  favorite part was the wind,” Nawid said. “It often came on my face.”

The wind made a lot of students feel uncomfortable and made them enjoy the event less. Since the weather was out of their control they tried to make the best of the situation and have a fun time.

Although a majority of the students did show up at senior tailgate some students decided to skip the event due to not wanting to miss class.

“I didn’t want to go because I didn’t want to miss my classes,” Brandon Reynolds said. “All of the classes I would have missed were important, however, I regret it.”
