Tracy High’s nail biting wrestling season has begun, and three year varsity wrestler Jonathan Uhl is one of many wrestlers excited for the season.

The team has starting their intense conditioning in order to stay in shape throughout the whole season, and working hard in making their weight cuts for every match.

Uhl has started his junior year on a 3-2 record and hopes to improve as the season continues. Johnathon is confident that the rest of his teammates will have a strong season and have a shot at bringing home a championship this season.

Wrestling has brought Uhl and his teammates closer together and have built a strong relationship even outside of practice. Uhl also continues to work hard in all his classes, balancing school and sports.

Junior Eli Blackwell also a three year varsity wrestler who has started off the 2018-2019 season to a 4-1 record out of a forty plus match season.

Eli has been wrestling most of his life. Eli is a state ranked wrestler. He is currently ranked 20 in the state, and hopes to keep working hard and try making it to top 5.

Eli and his team have been conditioning very hard every week, Eli loves the grind and has a big passion for wrestling. He has also been doing great in all of his classes including some IB classes, showing he is a hard worker in and out of class.

The team will be attending several tournaments over the holiday break before  their next home match on Jan. 16 at 6:00pm.
