Autumn is approaching and change in students’ apparel can be seen all over Tracy High’s campus. Comfy sweaters, stylish jackets, and layered clothing can be expected in the next few weeks to come.

“I like to wear big cardigans and comfy sweatshirts,” Katie Vogt said. Comfort is a big part of fall style according to this Tracy High senior. Vogt loves to find all her autumn must-haves at Urban Outfitters, a hip department store found all over the Bay Area.

Keeping your style, while also keeping warm is also an important aspect of Fall fashion.

“I usually wear my favorite Levi’s flannel jacket. It keeps me warm and it’s also a way I can express myself through fashion,” Clayton Walker said.

Tracy High senior Rouel San Juan also has a love for dressing fancier in the fall.     “I love autumn because of the different clothing you can wear, especially long-sleeve button downs,” San Juan said.

Some students, like Marty Vargas, even prefer fall weather over summer weather.

“The colder weather is better. In the summer you don’t really have as many options when it comes to clothes. In the fall, you can layer up on clothing and dress nicer,” Vargas said. “I’m really excited to wear my vintage 49ers’ starter jacket. I haven’t been able to wear it yet because it’s still too warm outside.”

Tracy High senior Ellie Fisher also has a unique piece of clothing she’s ready to wear for fall.

“I’m excited to wear more scarves and the knitted poncho my great grandma gave me.” Fisher said. “It’s perfect for keeping me warm, and I’m ready to wear it when the weather is a bit cooler.”

Tracy High student Pauline Ly, also prefers the autumn weather when it comes to dressing up.

“I like big cardigans and wearing tights with boots” Ly said. “In the fall it gets pretty cold, but not too cold. You can dress to be comfortable and stylish at the same time.”

Tracy High student Delaine Darroux, gives her input on where to find great finds for the autumn weather.

“I shop at Forever 21 to find clothes for autumn. They have a great selection of oversized sweaters. It’s where I got my favorite mini mouse sweater with chains and polka dots,” Darroux said.

Forever 21 is a popular department store for teens where people can find accessories, formal wear, and casual wear for both guys and girls. The nearest Forever 21 stores can be found in Pleasanton, Stockton, and Modesto.

Whether it’s big sweaters, sports jackets, or vintage hand-me-downs, Tracy High students are ready to dress for autumn. Cooler weather means more layers and more layers means more clothing options. Tracy High School is expected to have more stylish and trendy looking students for the coming autumn season.
