With holidays around the corner, the Tracy High Bulldogs decided to display its holiday spirit and hold fun events throughout Connection Week. One of the many spirited events was a Holiday Movie Night featuring “Home Alone”.
The movie night took place in Tracy High’s Theater on Dec. 6, 2023, where students were welcomed in while wearing pajamas and cozy attire. With the movie’s start time at 6 p.m., the doors opened early to scan in Tracy High students via the 5-star app for entry.
During the movie night, snacks and other treats were sold at a concession stand near the entry. The new popcorn machine was a big hit, attracting many students.
“For me, I like how popcorn is being sold, it adds to the movie experience,” Sayuri Gomez said.
Tracy High took advantage of their Instagram account by allowing the students to vote for their favorite movie. The options were between “Home Alone”, “Elf”, “Polar Express”, “Santa Clause” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. “Home Alone” became a very clear favorite for students, winning with the most votes.
Students naturally enjoy these types of after-school activities and hope to have more in the future.
“I like to do things outside of my studies, so having events like this is great especially with finals coming around the corner,” senior Blen Beyene shared.
The Holiday movie night gave students a chance to spend more quality time with their friends and fellow classmates as they shared their love and excitement for the holidays.
