On August 1, 2024, Tracy High School held their yearly senior sunrise on the football field. It made for a beautiful morning, encouraging the students to arrive at six in the morning to witness a meaningful sunrise with their peers. This would mark the beginning of a memorable final year for the class of 2025.
Many students had been excitedly anticipating this senior activity as their first of many. Melanie Yanke, a current senior at Tracy High school, is a prime example of one of the many seniors who showed excitement towards this event.
“I’ve been looking forward to this since freshman year, and it was everything I hoped it would be.” Yanke stated.
Leadership provided donuts and Brew Life Coffee Bar were there for the seniors to enjoy throughout the morning.
Bryce Correll, another senior, mentioned that this made the experience much more enjoyable.
“The coffee and donuts were amazing, definitely my favorite part of the morning.” Correll said. The food and drinks added a comforting touch to the early start of the morning.
While enjoying the food, the seniors also took this opportunity to connect with their classmates. They took advantage of their time together by playing football, capturing memories with photos, and relaxing on blankets while chatting with friends.
Colton Hoff, a third senior, expressed how happy this event made him.
“The environment was so positive, and it was great being surrounded by the people I care about.” Hoff explained.
Tracy High School’s Senior Sunrise was a resounding success, providing students with a memorable and meaningful way to kick off their senior year. It allowed students to appreciate the friendships and bonds that have formed over the years, and it also encouraged new ones to develop.
The combination of a beautiful sunrise, delicious treats, and the company of friends made for an unforgettable experience that seniors will cherish as they embark on the final year of their high school journey.
