For back school, Tracy High School held a spirit week filled with fun and exciting dress up days inspired by the hit tv-show “Love Island.”
Many students got to go full out in the unique dress up days showing their immense school spirit and excitement for the new school year starting up.
“It’s been really fun getting to dress up all week and wear fun and different outfits to school that you normally wouldn’t get to,” senior Grace Whitbeck said. “My favorite day was couples’ day because it gave me a chance to twin with my best friend.”
The week kicked off with a workout day on Monday, where Tracy Bulldogs wore their favorite athletic gear, correlating to the show’s promotion of fitness.
“This day was my favorite because I already wear workout clothes, so it was fun to get to go a little fuller out,” senior Melanie Yanke enthusiastically shared.
Tuesday brought couples day, a fan favorite where students paired up with friends to create matching outfits. Whether it was best friends twinning in identical tees, or duos with coordinating colors, the day was a hit.
Beach day on Wednesday brought the summer vibes back to school, with students showcasing their beachwear and tropical accessories. Hawaiian shirts and leis were the outfits of the day, making the midweek feel like a summer day at the Villa.
“It was a little hard to dress up for beach day because I couldn’t show up in a swimsuit,” senior Gia Rinaldo said.
Thursday was overalls day inspired by the “Love Island” star Rob, who is most known for wearing his overalls on the show. It gave students a chance to wear denim in a fun and unique way.
The week wrapped up on Friday with Neon Day, that correlated with the much-anticipated back-to-school rally. The campus was full of vibrant colors as the students embraced the neon theme.
“The rally was so much fun, and everyone’s outfits added to the excitement of the new year starting up” senior Maddie Fry said.
This year’s back to school spirit week was a huge success with everyone on campus enjoying the fun and creativity that each themed day brought to Tracy High School. As the school year continues, the energy and excitement from the spirit week are sure to carry on.
