Jayme Aguon, Editor-in-Chief
Jayme Aguon was born on February 1, 2007, seven weeks earlier than her scheduled due date. She is currently a 17-year-old senior at Tracy High School. Aguon is in her second year at Tracy High School, as well as in her second year of Journalism. Last year, she was able to improve her writing skills and this year she hopes to refine and further these skills previously learned. In her first year she took on the reporting roll and fell in love with covering events, this year she was willing to do the same and anything the class needed from her. Aguon was given the roll of Editor-in-Chief, she is ready for this leadership position and wishes to fulfill the roles the title brings. She lives with her parents as an only child. Being an only child, she holds onto the close friendships with the few she trusts most in her life. She has a 0ne and a half year old Australian Labradoodle which is a therapy dog for her mother’s work. His name is Tater. She is half Chamorro, from the island of Guam, which she hopes to visit one day. Aguon plays travel softball hoping to gain a scholarship to help pay for her college tuition. She is enthusiastic about her primary position, catcher. Last year she went through an 11-month long elbow injury requiring two surgeries. Aguon was released to be back on the field in May, playing with her team again. Before she found softball, she did competitive gymnastics for six years, as well as earning her way up to a purple belt in mixed martial arts. In the future, Aguon hopes to someday work with kids. More specifically occupying and minor and majoring in Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy. She hopes to help make a change in a little one’s life and let them reach new milestones they never believed in.
