The Bulldogs dominated the Wolfpack in all three sets with a final score in the third set being 25-6. With commentary from the Bulldogs senior captains and coach, more insight on how the team took the win against West High was revealed.
The Bulldogs started off the game strong with the team’s middle hitter, Ksenia Sanchez, scoring a block against the Wolfpack. Sanchez is playing her final season as a senior while also being one of the Bulldog team captains.
Sanchez consistently contributed to the game with a total number of 10 kills and a kill percentage of 83 percent.

The defensive specialist and libero for the Bulldogs, Precious Talavera, was a key part of the rotation to hold up a fight against West High. Talavera held down the defense against the Wolfpack’s attacks and portrayed great examples of leadership, filling her role as one of the team’s captains.
“I think our energy and just having a positive mindset is what really kept us going tonight and helped bring us up in such a high lead,” Talavera commented on the team’s strengths for the night.
In the final two sets, Hayley Bogetti and Zoe Artadi wrapped up the game with multiple blocks and kills combined, finishing off the Wolfpack with a 19-point lead.

“I mean we’re always practicing for West. It’s a rivalry game and it puts us closer to playoffs, so we practice seriously. Going forward, I think they can improve by consistency, competitiveness, and minimizing errors,” Ebojo added.
