Homecoming brings about many fun activities throughout the week at Tracy High school. Students were excited to participate in the Night Rally on Oct. 2.
One of the big moments of the Night Rally includes the announcement of Homecoming King and Queen. During the rally, ReAnna Zuniga and Lucas Nguyen were announced as the 2024 winners.
“It was an exciting feeling and fun to be part of Royal Court,” Homecoming Queen ReAnna Zuniga said.
This year’s theme was Teenage Dream. Each class choreographed a skit based on the high school movie they had chosen. The freshman theme was “Grease,” sophomores chose “Camp Rock,” juniors chose “Teen Beach Movie” and seniors had first pick, selecting “High School Musical.”
The Night Rally attire was to wear your class colors. Freshmen wore light blue, sophomores wore purple, juniors wore pink and seniors wore red.
A big highlight of the night rally were the class skits and the club performances. After four years of competing for the skit trophy, the class of 2025 beat the rest of the other classes. The seniors did an amazing job of following the choreography and showing their effort in school spirit.
The choreographers chose music that related best with the seniors. Accordingly, it fit the “vibe” of that specific class.
“I felt bittersweet about it being our last rally,” Bella Rayleen said. “I was emotional at the end of the night. Not because I was sad, but all of our hard work paid off and seeing our class have fun was the most rewarding feeling.”
The club performances allowed for club expression. Students danced to music they enjoyed. A very entertaining performance was from the dance troupe. The music that was used for their routine was upbeat and fun to watch.
According to sophomore Taylor Sansaver, the night rally was “fun to watch.” According to Sansaver, all the hard work and collaboration paid off.
According to many students, the Bulldogs had a successful rally while living their “Teenage Dream.”
