Lucas Nyguen, a senior at Tracy High School and a member of the varsity golf team, has made an impact on many in the community through his photography.
Nyguen is currently in the Agricultural Science Academy Program (Ag/Sci) and had to take on a senior project for the program. He created a montage video of Tracy High and the school’s history, including the school sports teams and clubs.
Nguyen discovered photography during the pandemic in 2020 through social media content creation.
“I got into photography when I was 13 years old during COVID and was introduced to photography through YouTube and Instagram,” Nguyen said.
Ngyuen has fallen in love with photography and is proud of his accomplishments throughout his career. Ngyuen has significant plans for his photography career and photography is something he would like to continue doing.
“Photography is a major part of my life and I plan on pursuing photography in the future,” Ngyuen stated.
Ngyuen has taken photos for the Tracy High sports programs for the past three years. He started taking photos for the varsity football team during his sophomore year and quickly established himself as a well-known photographer.
Ngyuen started to get attention from the football players by offering them exclusive photos from their games.
Dillon Posten, a senior at Tracy High School and varsity football player, expressed his gratitude for the football photos Ngyuen takes of him.
“I’m grateful for all the photos he was able to take of me and my team,” Posten said. “His photos captured important memories that I will look back on for a long time.”
Posten is beyond grateful for every picture Ngyuen took of him and his teammates and can’t wait to see what other amazing photos Ngyuen captures.
Elijah Callahan, a junior at Tracy High, expressed how pleased he was with Ngyuen’s video.
“Lucas created an amazing video about Tracy High,” Callahan said. “It was cool to see how creative he is as a photographer.”
Nyguen’s hard work and dedication to photography have been showcased through many photos and videos, leaving a lasting impact on the students and families at Tracy High School.
