The Tracy High Bulldogs 2025 season came to a close on Wednesday, May 7, after a hard-fought 11-4 playoff loss to the Rodriguez Mustangs. This was a win or go home game for the Bulldogs as it was the first round in the playoffs.

Despite the tough outcome, the boys left it all on the field, showing the same grit and determination that carried them through an unforgettable season.
The game started off competitively, but Rodriguez shifted the momentum early by scoring six runs in the second inning.
Tracy continued to fight, trying to chip away at the deficit with smart at-bats and solid contact at the plate, but the Mustangs’ early lead proved too much to overcome.
Senior Dylan Giannini got the start on the mound and battled through one and two-thirds innings before Jace Johnson came in for relief. Johnson pitched four and a third innings, doing everything he could to keep the Bulldogs in the game.
Jacoby Freitas had another strong day at the plate, going 3-for-4, leading Tracy in hits. Jordan Alvarado added two hits and an RBI, continuing his consistent performance from earlier in the season.
Though the scoreboard didn’t swing in their favor, the Bulldogs showed resilience until the final out. Every inning was filled with effort, leadership and heart, a reflection of the culture built by this senior class.
“We knew it could be our last game, so we played like it,” said senior outfielder Josh Giuliacci. “It hurts right now,
but when I look back, I’ll remember the laughs, the bus rides and all the time we spent together. This team was something special.”
For the seniors, the final out marked the end of a journey that began years ago on the Tracy diamond. Each of them leaves behind a legacy of leadership and commitment that will continue to shape the program.
Although the season ends here, the Bulldogs walk away with their heads held high. From opening day to playoffs, the team grew as players and as people. The bond they shared this year won’t be forgotten, and for many, this was more than baseball. It was family.
