On Friday September 5, a large crowd of people attended the Tracy Block Party. The event took place on 6th Street and Central Avenue, between the hours of 6pm-9pm.
Lots of people brought chairs to lounge back and relax with their friends and family as live Reggae music played. The event was also free admission, welcoming all to enjoy the music and vibes. The Tracy Block Party was vibrant and crowded, bringing people from Tracy and other cities nearby.
Janeen Nowak from Manteca, drove to participate in the Tracy Block Party and shared her thoughts on it.
“I met some nice people here, and I love the music so far,” Nowak stated, gesturing to her surroundings.
Another lady, Juice Roces, was eager to share her feelings about the reggae music playing at the event.
“Reggae is really relaxing, everybody loves reggae,” Roces expressed. “It’s really danceable.”
Keya Cutrer, a frequent block party attendee, also commented on the block party.
“I love these. You get to relax, chill, and enjoy the vibe.” Cutrer states “I listen to all different types of music, and I’ve went to almost every block party they’ve hosted,”
This was the last Tracy Block Party of the summer, concluding the annual Tracy Block Party series of 2025. A recurring block party participant Suzanne Flores, spoke about her thoughts on the Tracy Block Party series.
“I’m glad they do this. I wish they did this more, they only do it once a month in the summer,” Suzanne Floris finished.
