Freitas’ Faves: NFL Top 10 – Week 3

10. San Francisco 49ers

  • 3-0
  • Robert Salah is BACK
  • Injury bug yet again derailing the 49ers season
  • 2 wins against divisional opponents
  • With easy schedule and players coming back, the niners could still be a force to be reckon with in the NFC

 

 

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • 3-0
  • EMEKA EGBUKA IS HERE
  • Mike Evans is injured but Chris Godwin is coming back
  • Already major favorites to keep their divisional title streak

 

 

 

  1. Indianapolis Colts
  • 3-0
  • 2025’s surprise team
  • Daniel Jones resurgence?
  • First 20 drives 0 punts!
  • Can they sustain this success?

 

  1. Baltimore Ravens
  • 1-2
  • Two losses were to two top 5 teams in the league
  • Lamar Jackson is still a top three quarterback
  • Once their defense gets back to normal, they will be just fine

 

6. Green Bay Packers

  • Shockingly upset by the Browns
  • Micah Parsons has taken their defense to another level
  • The Packers flashed Super Bowl caliber play in weeks one and two

  • Played a great first 10 Quarters then crumbled in the second half versus the Eagles
  • If Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua can stay healthy the Rams will compete for the NFC West title
  • Inches away from being undefeated and handing the Eagles their first loss of the year

  • Proved they can still be an elite team without Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn
  • Detroit’s Week 1 was scary against the Packers but turned things around quick against the Ravens and Bears
  • Hot start to the season for Amon-Ra Saint Brown

 

3. Los Angeles Chargers

  • Three divisional games, three divisional wins
  • Herbert MVP season?
  • Quentin Johnston finally has broken out and put together a few quality games in a row

2. Buffalo Bills

  • Josh Allen is still the best player in the league
  • Won possibly the game of the year against the Ravens on Sunday Night Football
  • Buffalo’s first ever Super Bowl may be on the way

 

1.wPhiladelphia Eagles

  • 3-0
  • Eagles have defended their Super Bowl title with three quality wins against the Cowboys, Chiefs, and Rams
  • 17 STRAIGHT wins for the Eagles in games that Jalen Hurts has started and finished
  • Despite how annoying their team and fan base may be, they are currently still the best team in the league

Jacoby Freitas, Assistant Editor-in-Chief
Jacoby Freitas was born on November 12, 2007, and is currently a 17-year-old senior at Tracy High School. This is his first year in journalism, but he is extremely excited to play a significant role in the class this year. He is hoping to improve his journalism skills because he wants to major in journalism when he goes to college. Additionally, Freitas is hoping to work in sports journalism as a career. He has fallen in love with sports since he was a little kid, in his free time he is either playing, watching, refereeing, or coaching sports. One of the few things that comes before sports in Freitas’ life is his family. He lives with his mom, dad, sister, and his two cats while also keeping an extremely close relationship with his grandparents. He is now entering his fourth year of baseball for Tracy High and his 14th year of baseball in total. Despite having played many sports such as football, basketball, soccer, and more, baseball has always been his true passion and first love. He has been and always will be a die-hard fan of the San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and the San Francisco 49ers. A fun fact about Freitas is that he has been to 14 Major League Baseball stadiums with his dad and they hope to one day visit all 30. He is half Portuguese, part Swedish, and a mix of other European ethnicities. Freitas is looking forward to a year of improving his writing skills, making new connections, and learning more about journalism.
