The Tracy High cheerleaders are a big part of our school and bring the spirit. The captains lead the squad in both cheering on the sidelines and choregraphing the routines.
Kyleen Andrada, one of the varsity cheer captains shared her goals for the team this season.
“To help everyone with advancing their skills and to feel like they have improved in their sport,” Andrada expressed.
Andrada discusses what makes the team successful.
“To have a bond with your team,” Andrada emphasized. “If you don’t feel like you are together as a team it’s really hard working with others.”

Andrada explained her experience so far as cheer captain has been a bit overwhelming just figuring out things, but overall, she is honored for this position.
Callie Foisy, another one of the varsity cheer captains, expressed how she hopes to be remembered well for her time served as captain.
“I just want to be there for my team and make this year as best it can possibly be, especially since I’m a senior,” Foisy explained. “I want to be known as a good captain, one who was there for her team and cared for everyone.”
Foisy described her goals for this season.
“I want us to bond as a team because when we are working together it makes the routines and our team chemistry better,” Foisy emphasized. “You can really see that on the sidelines or when we’re performing.”
Grace Finton, another varsity cheer captain, discussed the important factors to the success of the team.
“Teamwork,” Finton expressed. “And just learning how to work through struggles with each other.”
Kodee Sanchez, another varsity cheer captain expressed the most important thing to make the team successful.
“To have strong bond which makes our team shine during our routines.” Sanchez explained.
Sanchez expressed her gratitude for being able to have the opportunity to be a captain.
“It has helped me become a better leader that people can look up to.” Sanchez conveyed.
These girls will lead their team for the remainder of football season for their final year.
