The phrase “best for last” still stands strong as the senior class of Tracy High was announced as the winning Homecoming Skit. Despite being the last class to perform, they clearly made quite an impact with their astounding stunts featuring flyers and references to their theme of the sitcom “Friends.”
The seniors finished the Homecoming Night Rally by performing their final Homecoming Skit and portrayed the upcoming shift into adulthood with “Friends.” Accompanied by a pink inflatable couch, the seniors exuded joy and danced tirelessly.
Their excitement was so palpable that even seniors new to Tracy High, like Aneria Lezine, were left grinning proudly long after the night ended.
“It was awesome, I had so much fun, I wish I could do it again,” stressed Lezine.
To aid her winning class, Lezine applied her cheer background to make the most of the skit.
“I used my experience in cheer to have great facial expressions, dance movements, and excitement,” she boasted.

As the winning class of Tracy High, the seniors will channel their enthusiasm once more this Friday at the Homecoming football game, performing their skit again during half time.
Before the seniors took the spotlight, the juniors transformed the football field into the city of Bel Air and took Tracy High back to the 1990s. With a balance of choreographed dances and passionate scenes from “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” they showed how much effort the Homecoming Skits involved.
The choreographer of the entire skit happened to be junior Mikayah Moore who, like senior Lezine, used her 13 years of cheerleading to work through the intricacies of the skit.
“Knowing how to go along with beats and music really helped me pull through this,” explained Moore.
Moore revealed the entire process of producing the skit to be “really complicated” because of the challenges her class had to work through. But with applause blaring from the bleachers, she finished the night off content.
“I think it turned out really good,” began Moore. “I love it, everyone just tries to make it as fun as possible.”
Backtracking into the Night Rally, the sophomores acted out an interview with the characters from the rowdy 80s television show, “Full House.”

Decked out in their class color of blue, they embodied the iconic Tanner family and paired their scenes with a plethora of exciting tunes.
With the Homecoming Theme being Live at Tracy High, the Freshmen class started off the competition with a skit based on the 90s sitcom, “Boy Meets World.” Here, they brought to life the adolescent characters of Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence.
At center stage was freshman Reagan Foster, who played Topanga Lawrence. As this was her first ever Homecoming Skit, she expressed mixed feelings of excitement and nervousness.
“It was kind of scary,” admitted Foster. “But once you’re out there, then it’s fine.”
