Students at Tracy High School gather together on the Wayne Schneider Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 15, during Homecoming Week to celebrate the Night Rally.
A significant part of the Night Rally is to showcase what our school represents. All the different clubs provided at our school show diversity, representation, and community.
Clubs at Tracy High are created and run by students, showing just how dedicated the students are to creating community and awareness within the school.
These clubs are given the opportunity to vote at least two of their members to be Club Sweethearts; they get to represent their club by walking in the Night Rally, as well as participating in the Homecoming Parade.
Many clubs participated such as FFA, Black Student Union, Asian Pacific Islanders, Drama, Mental Elegance, Letters to Rose, Jazz Club, Christian Club, Red Cross, Acts of Random Kindness, etc. Some fall sports also had sweethearts like football, cheer, and tennis.

Layla Moore, a sweetheart for the Black Student Union, explains how appreciative she is of the opportunity.
“I feel really honored just that they trusted me enough to be able to represent our club,” shared Moore.
“Its basically just about bringing together black students on Tracy Highs campus, because there’s not a lot of voice that we have here, being so little of us.” Moore describes the club.
The Christian Club was represented by Danika Worthington, who details her time at the Night Rally.
“It felt great and it was so much fun,” Worthington explained, “I enjoyed everything so much.”
Many Clubs at Tracy High have been long standing and around for awhile, although there are still many new clubs coming up every year.
“Christian club has been around” Worthington points out.

Inika Ahmed, the Red Cross Club’s representative, shows the other side of the spectrum in being a “new club.”
“It felt like it would be a great way to bring representation to this club and show the school that it’s a thing.” Ahmed expresses. “It started off as an idea just for people to be involved in the medical field and also get really great volunteering hours and experience,” Ahmed describes the Red Cross Club.
The Sweethearts were proud to show off their club in front of the school at the Night Rally, bringing awareness and attention to their club.
