If you weren’t a teacher, what do you think you would be doing? “If I knew there was a profession that dealt with event planning, I would have been an event planner. I would like to be an event planner for various events like business meetings, receptions of any kind, or for any type of parties. I would not want to limit myself to one type of event.”
What is the best thing about teaching at Tracy High School? “The best thing about teaching here is the students. I’ve been here for years and the students are great to work with.”
Where did you go to college? “I went to Fresno State and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.”
Do you have any hobbies? “I enjoy reading, snow and water skiing, and walking. I do mostly snow skiing, and I started when I was a senior in high school. One of my favorite places to ski is in Tahoe.”
What type of books do you like to read? “I read all types of books. I do not stick to just one type. I don’t have a favorite book, I just enjoy a lot of different books and the pleasure of reading.”
What is your favorite movie? “I don’t actually have a favorite movie. I like all types of movies, especially movies that end in a message.”
What is your favorite place to go on a trip? “My favorite place to go is anywhere when I’m with my family. I don’t care where it is, if I’m with my family, it’s a good trip. One of my favorites is when we went camping because every single person in my family got to attend.”
What is the best advice you have ever received? “Don’t live your life with regrets. Apologize if that’s what you need to do, fix what was wrong and move on.”
Do you have Bucket list? What are some things on it? “Yes, I do. I want to do a tandem skydive and some more traveling in the United States more on the East Coast because I haven’t been there often and I like the history over there. We have nothing firmly planned yet for skydiving, but we’re trying to put something together.”
What is your favorite day of the week? “I don’t have a favorite. If you can get up, get out of bed, walk and breathe, it’s a good day.”
What makes you happy? “When the people around me are happy, I’m happy.”
