With the season coming to a close, The boys swim team finished 3rd in the SJAA with Bree Houser competing in the 200 lm and 100 breast stroke, Nathan Hu competing in the 200 free and the 500 free, Brandon Brown competing in the 500 free, Preston Tsang competing in the 100 breast stroke, and Hu, Brown, Tsang, and Spencer Bishop all competing in the 200 freestyle relay. According the assistant coach Erin Mann, “Every single swimmer has improved throughout the season.”

The dive team finished with sophomore Alex Lopez taking first in league competing at the varsity level. He also competed in frosh/soph and took 5th in the southern trials. Lopez was the only diver able to go on and compete in league or sections.

“I was so excited to come in first place this year,” Lopez said. “It was a huge accomplishment to beat the guys that have been doing this for the past 3 years. I was pretty happy with where I placed considering it’s only my first year of diving.”

“I had so much fun this season and I plan to continue my junior and senior year. I also recommend dive to anybody, it takes guts and is just as manly as any other sport.”
