Kalin and Myles are a teen-pop duo of two guys from the Bay Area. Kalin White, 20, sings, and Myles Parrish, 23, makes beats and raps.

They began in 2011 with their first EP, “Chasing Dreams”. They released three other EP’s before finally releasing their first album, self-titled, released Nov. 20, 2015. A few songs from the album include “Shake it”, “Curfew Overtime”, and “Get it, Get it, Get it”. They are all super catchy songs and have fantastic lyrics.

One of the top songs on the album, “Brokenhearted”, is about how a girl has her heart broken by a lot of guys, and she doesn’t want to trust anyone else to love her. The lyrics explain how they would give up half of their heart to make her feel secure. They show how they could care for her and make her feel wanted.

The song “I See You” is a really catchy tune and was the third single to release from the album. It’s about how they both think their fans are better than what they themselves think. It shows how much they love them and appreciate their fans and show their appreciation.

The words from the song “Do What You Do,” are really inspiring and meaningful. The lyrics explain how much Kalin and Myles are happy for their success for the purpose of making their dreams come true, not bank accounts or material items. The song goes on to say how you have to believe in yourself and do what you do best and that’s what will make you happy.

My favorite song on the album is “Get it, Get it, Get it” because it has a catchy beat and great lyrics. It also stars another Bay Area rapper, “P-lo”. The song really captures the Bay Area vibes of going to house parties, dancing, and having a really good time with your friends. If I was recommending Kalin and Myles to someone who had never heard of them before, I would recommend this song.

For their first album, Kalin and Myles made a splash in the music scene. With the album reaching number nine on the top albums on iTunes, I definitely believe they have come far from the beginning of their music careers and will continue to chase their dreams.
