Benazir Qasim, Reporter
Benazir Qasim is a senior here at Tracy High School. She is a part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and has three brothers and one sister. Qasim also has two cats, named Coco and Enzo. Her favorite subject currently is Anthropology, but history has always been her favorite ever since she can remember. She enjoys working out, reading, taking long walks, and swimming. She is passionate about connecting with new people, improving her public speaking skills, but most of all, she is passionate about being best at what she does. No matter what she does, whether it’s at work or in class, she always aims to be the very best at it. During her four years in High School, she learned that consistency and hard work pay off. Qasim believes that every student should have a positive mindset and a good outlook on school. School is not always the most exciting, but she has noticed as everyone approaches their last few years, they learn the importance of cherishing every moment of it. She is passionate about journalism because her dad watched various news networks, some of the most famous including CNN and BBC. He taught her about journalism and made her look forward to doing it herself.
