Fawas Erakkath Shameer was born on Sept. 4, 2010, and is currently a freshman at Tracy High School. Born in Karnataka, India, Shameer stayed in there for the first 10 years of his life. Then he and his family came to Cupertino, Calif. when Shameer was in fifth grade. He then later moved to Tracy, Calif. at the start of 2022 for his sixth-grade year. Shameer currently lives with his dad, who is a software engineer, his mom, who helps him with his work and his 10-year-old little sister who goes to Anthony C. Traina Elementary School. Shameer loves his family dearly and believes that without his family he couldn’t have gotten this far in life. He is incredibly grateful to have the blessing of a loving, caring and nice family and he expresses this gratitude with his hard work. Shameer’s favorite hobbies are playing basketball, video games with friends, skateboarding, watching TV and jump roping. Shameer understands Malayalam, his native language, and English, meaning he is bilingual. He is trying to learn his 3rd language, which is Spanish. Shameer is attempting to pursue a career in software engineering to follow in his dad’s footsteps and he is taking the necessary measures to do so. Shameer likes to be nice to people and help them whenever he can. Shameer believes that he can achieve anything he wants to with hard work, dedication and the right mindset.
