Kaylee Carrillo

Kaylee Carrillo, Reporter

Kaylee Carrillo is a 17-year-old senior at Tracy High School who is excited to graduate. She grew up in a family of four that includes her mom, dad, and 12-year-old brother. She grew up with two dogs named Zoey and Layla. A fun fact about Carrillo was that she transferred to Tracy High for her junior year. An accomplishment she is trying to achieve is to attend a four-year University away from home. Carrillo wants to go out of state to experience independence and would eventually like to officially move out of Calif. when she is older. Something else about Carrillo is she is a very busy and a hard-working person. She is a student athlete who has played softball for 13 years, who has also managed to have good academics with a busy schedule. Carrillo would consider herself a hard worker because she completes everything with determination to be the best she can be. Carrillo grew up with two hard working, loving parents, and a younger brother. Having a younger sibling has taught her to be responsible, accountable, and helpful. Carrillo says her brother is one of her best friends. Her mom is someone who can correct her when she is wrong and always helps her with anything when she is having a hard time with. She says her mom is funny, athletic, and sweet. Carrillo grew up mainly with her dad because he was her coach for 11 years. He has always pushed her to be the best athlete she can be and has opened her eyes in so many ways to how life works. She says her dad is caring, hardworking, and serious but means well. Carrillo says she has so much gratitude for my family and truly does not know where she would be without them.
