Maria Gaeta was born on October 18, 2006, and is currently a senior at Tracy High School. Born in the big city of San Jose, moved to Tracy back in 2016. She is aspiring to become an author and create her own tragic, heartfelt stories. Gaeta has always loved to enhance her reading skills since the first grade, and in middle school, she learned that she also had a passion for writing. She has 2 other siblings, a brother who is a freshman in high school, and sister who is in second grade, Gaeta enjoys drawing while listening to music. And most of all, as mentioned before, writing, and creating her own short stories, when she has some time left over. She adores the time she spends with family and friends, be it playing video games with siblings, or playing Mexican lottery (Loteria). Gaeta took this class because of her brother; he had mentioned that he took journalism in middle school and described the experience of taking this class. He mentioned there was a lot of writing to do, and she instantly got hooked on the idea of being able to write stories and improve her editing skills as a future writer and author.
