Precious Talavera, Reporter
Precious Talavera was born on August 2, 2007, and is currently a senior at Tracy High School. She was born in Los Gatos, Calif. and has lived in Tracy for most of her life. She was born into a blended family of six. Since a young age, she and her household were taught to speak Spanish, which allowed her to be a bilingual candidate for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Spanish program here at Tracy High. Talavera has four older siblings two, an older sister Zubaida and an older brother Akram, of which attended, and one younger brother Jose to attend Tracy High School. She loves animals and has a dog of her own, a Chihuahua and Miniature Doberman mix named Luna. Talavera enjoys spending her free time with her loved ones, whether it be through volleyball with her friends or hanging out with her family. This is Talavera’s first year in Journalism, but she is seeking to learn how to enhance her writing skills with this class to prepare for college. Currently, she is enrolled in the Agricultural Science Program, her second year of IB English and second year in the Preforming Arts Magnet (PAM) Program, enhancing her passion for the piano. Talavera plans to pursue her interests in Criminology after high school, with the goal of staying close to home.
