The Tracy High Bulldogs (3-4)  lost to Lincoln High School (4-2) on Friday, 28-14.  The Bulldogs (3-4) were looking to add a win to their 3-3 record, while the Trojans held a record of 3-2. Tracy had the home field advantage, as they faced off against Lincoln. As the bleachers continued to fill, it became evident that there would be a large crowd for the homecoming game.

The game started off rough for the Bulldogs as they struggled to stop the Trojans offense for most of the game. The Bulldogs struggled to score as Lincoln held on to the football.  When Tracy did have the ball, it was a struggle to gain yards against Lincoln’s strong defense.

By the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Trojans held a lead of 28 points while the Bulldogs were scoreless. In an admirable effort, the Bulldogs were able to score twice as the fourth quarter came to a close. One of the rushing touchdowns came from junior quarterback, Cameron Ross-Escobar and another scored by senior running back, Austin Ho-Sy.

“It was tough, but we’re gonna come back,” junior wide receiver Kurtis Maynor said.

This Friday, the Bulldogs will travel to Lodi and will face the Flames in hopes of redemption. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. at the Grapebowl, located at 221 Lawrence Avenue in Lodi.
