Almost Summer Movie Night

Almost+Summer+Movie+Night

As the school year comes to an end, the Tracy High Bulldogs came together to start off the summer spirit with one last movie night of the school year, featuring Disney’s, ‘Teen Beach Movie.’

The movie night took place in Tracy High’s Theater on April 25. at 6 p.m., the doors opened earlier at 5:20 p.m. for students to check in on 5-star so they had time to get comfortable.

As usual, there was a concession stand by the entrance selling popcorn and candy for the students to enjoy with the movie. Students expressed their love for the classic Disney movie by clapping and singing along to the songs.

Like all the other times, Tracy High used their Instagram account to introduce the information of this event. Prior to the event,  students were able to vote on a poll to choose the movie of the night. The options were “The Sandlot,” “Teen Beach Movie,” “Cars” and “Camp Rock.” Students seemed very excited for the option of “Teen Beach Movie” since it was the winning choice.

Students thought this was a great activity for everyone to get ready for the end of the school year.

“Honestly, I’m not ready for the year to end, but I think the movie nights the school has been doing are fun to go to, like this one gets us ready for summer, especially with this movie choice,” Julissa Morfin, a senior, said.

Many students who attended the showing of the movie expressed their love for the final choice.

“I have seen this movie before, I had it on DVD so I saw it a lot when I was younger,” Delilah Blanco said.  “The movie choice was really good, I feel like Teen Beach Movie is the best, it’s one of the best Disney movies of our generation. It’s crazy, the plot is really crazy but I love it even until now.”

Naturally, students enjoy these types of after-school activities and believe they are helpful to relax when they get some time off.

“I honestly didn’t even know they had these movie nights before, so this one was the first one I’ve been to. I enjoyed it, it was something fun to do instead of staying home,” Jesse Ramirez expressed.

Before the school year comes to and end, the Almost Summer Movie Night helped the students relax and slowly get into summer with only a month of school left.
