The Float Building at Tracy High is a tradition during the homecoming week that brings students together as each

class worked hard to create their floats.
Float building is when students get out of school all day on Friday of homecoming week to help their class build a float to compete against the other classes during the parade.
Junior Ava Perkins spoke about her experience.
“It was a lot of work and a very long day but getting involved in school spirit made it all worth it.”
The students put in a lot of time and energy to make sure everything was finished on time.
Leadership students helped organize the event, showing how much effort and teamwork goes into planning and guiding others through this process.

Sophomore Secretary Jillian Pereira expressed that challenges overcome at float building
“It was a success and even when there were stressful moments everyone found solutions and seen their hard work payoff.”
Students were able to work together and stay focused on many challenges.
Senior Eva Burg stated, “I helped build the fountain for the float which was different from their past years.”

This shows how the seniors took on new responsibilities and enjoyed spending one last float building day with their friends.
Freshman Candice Cunanan expressed “it was a new but exciting experience, and I can’t wait to do it all again next year.”
Float building encouraged teamwork and helped new students get involved in fun school activities.
The Seniors earned their last win marking the end of a memorable tradition.
