After a week filled with energy, teamwork, and school spirit, the Class of 2026 emerged as this year’s Homecoming Spirit Week champions, a fitting close to their years here.

Senior class secretary Bianca Escobar described her vision for the week as something that would fully capture the theme inspired by the show “Friends”.
“My overall vision for this year’s homecoming was to create something that represented our theme and brought it to life,” Escobar shared.
From float building to skit rehearsals, the process wasn’t always easy. Despite the challenges they faced, they continued to persevere.
“We went through a lot of trial and error in the beginning but eventually came to the final idea,” Escobar explained. “There were many struggles… but we powered through, and I am very proud of the final product.”
Senior class president Grace Finton explains one of the biggest hurdles came during the break before Homecoming Week, when students weren’t on campus.

“The week before there was no school, so there was not a lot of involvement during that time,” Finton said. “We overcame that by working with the people we had and prioritizing certain tasks.”
Through all the hard work, brainstorming, and long nights, seeing it all come together was incredibly rewarding.
“Seeing how all the ideas merged together in the end to make something amazing was really good,” Finton states.
All their hard work was recognized at halftime of the homecoming game. Senior class vice president, Kim Moreno spoke of her emotions following the win.
“When I found out my class won, my reaction was bittersweet. I was insanely happy.” Moreno explained. “I had a feeling that we would win but I was still doubtful, and hearing the seniors, Class of 2026, get called as the winners just made all my hard work worth it.”
The victory was especially meaningful to the seniors because of their decorated history in past years.

“This win for seniors felt good, especially after coming second last year and winning the year before that. It felt so good to get another win for our class again, a feeling unforgettable!” Moreno concluded.
For the seniors, this win wasn’t just about a trophy; it was about ending their high school years on a memorable note.
“It’s what we’re leaving to the school,” Finton reflected. “It’s our last homecoming at Tracy High School, so it’s kind of a nice goodbye.”
