Munir captures honorable mention in poetry competition.
Raisa Munir, a freshman, won honorable mention in Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition. The ninth grader entered her poem “Winter,” in the competition.
” Munir said.
Munir submitted her poem to the program outside of school and impressed her English teacher.
“I love to see my students work on their writing outside of school and get rewarded for their efforts,” English teacher Curtis Campbell said.
