The Class of 2016 kicked off its final year with Senior Tailgate, the first senior activity on Sept. 18. The senior class officers from Leadership took charge of Senior Tailgate and it turned out to be a big hit with those who attended.

Not only did Senior Tailgate have a good location, but it also had great games, music, and food. Plenty of hot dogs and hamburgers were served to everyone along with other treats. There were also many opportunities for seniors to dance or play their favorite sports or games.

“Hanging out with my friends, dancing to music, and having fun was the best part,” senior Marly Meyer said.

Once at tailgate, everyone seemed to find that there was a lot to do, and many played games and interacted with other seniors.

“There were a lot of activities that everyone was participating in, so it was a good experience,” senior Julia Vares said.

The class officers and the tailgate committee spent a good amount of time preparing for the event by coming up with new ideas and other ways to make sure everything was set up and well organized.

“It took over a month to prepare,” Senior Class President Allison Piwowarski said. “We also looked at mistakes from last year’s Tailgate, and we thought of things we could improve on to make it a lot more fun this year.”

The senior class officers from Leadership worked extremely hard for this event to happen, and they were more than happy to hear the good feedback.

In my opinion it was extremely successful. All of my friends and I had a lot of fun, and everything went as planned
