It was very fun as well as nerve racking, the poster to ask Alacozy took me about four hours, but since it isn’t my first time going to Girls’ Treat, I knew what I wanted to do

Tracy High girls seem to get more creative every year, when it comes to figuring out ways to ask boys to the Girls’ Treat dance.

Many girls put in a lot of time and effort to figure out how they are going to ask their potential date to the dance.

Senior Denae Enos asked her boyfriend Zachary Augilar, a senior, to Girls’ Treat by making him a huge poster.

“Keeping it eight more than 92, can I tackle GT with you?” Enos said.

Her poster quote is from part of a Drake song named “100.”  The meaning of this song is for people staying true to one another.

Being creative takes time and effort. Not only do most girls take hours to design the posters, but others take others days to complete it.

“It took me five days to finish my poster because I wanted to be sure that it was perfect,” Enos said.

Girls are going all out to have a successful Girls’ Treat night.

Senior Alyssa Serrato asked junior Delon Alacozy by making him a poster as well as a mini-house with balloons coming out the roof, like the one from the Disney Movie “UP”.

“Would you be UP for Girls’ Treat?” Serrato said.

Preparing a Girls’ Treat proposal is fun and sometimes nerve racking, just thinking about it and the planning.

“Alyssa Serrato”It was very fun as well as nerve racking, the poster to ask Alacozy took me about four hours, but since it isn’t my first time going to Girls’ Treat, I knew what I wanted to do,” Serrato said.

Senior Elizabeth McIntyre asked sophomore Joshua Marquez, her soccer teammate, by making him a soccer quote poster.

“Hey wide right, I hope this isn’t forward, but my goal is to kick it with you at GT, so can I score a date?” McIntyre said.

For McIntyre, it’s not her first time attending Girls’ Treat, but she sure plans to have a good time once more.

“What I’m most excited about going to Girls’ Treat is probably my group. Last year we only had three couples and this year we have more than 20 people in our group,” McIntyre said. “This year we are renting a party bus and going to San Francisco to eat, instead of staying in town.”

To plan wasn’t easy for McIntyre because she chose the Tracy Sport Complex to ask Marquez.

“To plan it, I did research until I finally found a quote that I liked, and the poster took me seven hours because I painted it, but it was totally worth it,” McIntyre said

This year Girls’ Treat will be at the Tracy High’s cafeteria on Nov. 21 from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., the cost for a single person attending is $40 and $55 for couples.
