Tracy High’s homecoming parade on Oct. 16, in downtown Tracy was one of the highlights of homecoming week. The parade takes lots and lots of planning which was done by special ed teacher Paul Demsher who has been planning the Tracy High parade for over 25 years.

“I thought it went well, We had great weather, lots of participates, and for the most part people were safe,” Demsher said.

Homecoming King Nathaniel Turner rode with the queen in the parade.

Turner said that it was cool to having everybody wave at him and get all that attention during the parade.

Homecoming Queen Mikaela Mizuno enjoyed being in the parade.

“I got to see all my friends and some of my family was there, so it was pretty cool to see everyone all there,” Mizuno said.

Matthew Bongiovanni, royal court member, was in the parade in previous years, but this time it was different. He was the Future Farmers of America (FFA) escort last year.

“It was fun, Courtney Vasquez was a fun partner, and it was fun seeing the crowd and everyone waving and stuff,” Bongiovanni said.

Tracy High senior Andrew Ross watched the parade. His favorite part of the parade and which float in his opinion was the best one.

“Seeing all the floats was by far my favorite part of the parade. My favorite float was the seniors, of course,” Ross said.

Ross felt the parade was well put together and came out well planned out.
