Claire Hamer has been a resident of Tracy, California her entire life. The 17-year-old Senior at Tracy High School currently lives with her mother and sister, an inseparable trio. This is her second year in Journalism, and she is looking forward to using her experience to write great stories. Hamer chose to take Journalism as an elective for a second time because she might want to go to college for the study. Back to her high school years, the Senior plays on the Tracy High Varsity Volleyball Team. She was given a position of team captain this year which is a big responsibility to her. Along with school volleyball, she also plays travel volleyball at Rage Volleyball Club and is on the 18-1s team for this upcoming season. Hamer focuses a lot on sports because that’s what helps her with her mental health. Even though she spends most of her time on her sports, she also keeps above a 3.4 GPA in school. Hamer is looking forward to starting her second year of Journalism with all her friends this year
