On Friday, September 27, the senior class joined together in the back field of Tracy High to kick off their annual senior tailgate event. The seniors entered, scanning they’re via 5-star app, as this was an easier way to let students in and account for them. During this event, the seniors enjoyed Costco pizza and other snacks, following with sports activities, and got to hangout with their fellow classmates.

“My most memorable part about senior tailgate was playing corn hole and capturing memories with my friends.” Yuzar Oo described, with a smile.

The leadership class organized this event, ensuring it was a memorable experience by setting out baseballs, footballs, volleyballs, soccer balls and spike balls. Chairs were organized to play an intense, two-rounds of musical chairs to win an $10 Chick-fil-A gift card. The first-round winner was Trinidad Alfaro, followed with the second-round winner, Gavino Alfaro.

Afterwards, the seniors got to enter into a t-shirt contest. Seniors prepared shirts to win 10 winter formal tickets. A tie took place with the Powerpuff girl shirts and the 2024 sweatshirts, as they were seen to be the most creative.

“My favorite part about senior tailgate was being able to make memories with my friends and being able to be a part of the t-shirt contest with them too,” Kailani Sablan, a four-year leadership student and current senior class president, said.

For most students, the highlight of the day was just simply hanging out with their friends and capturing the memories of their senior year as time goes by.

“I enjoyed being able to make memories with my friends and hanging out all together for our last year,” Ashley Landi laughed.
