After consistent fails of diplomacy between Iran, the United States and Israel, the United States launched a coordinated military strikes inside Iran on Feb. 28, 2026.
Tensions between the three countries have been rising for years as the US expressed their concern for Iran’s missile and nuclear ambitions.
Iran had been building a nuclear program for several years and they claim it is for protection and peaceful reasons.
The US never believed this claim and believed Iran’s anti-US regime after the Islamic revolution was actively building nuclear weapons against the US and neighboring countries like Israel.

In 2015, Iran signed the deal of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with the world power to reduce its nuclear ambitions in exchange for lifting sanctions.
In 2018, President Donald trump withdrew from this deal and sanctions were reimposed. In response, Iran resumed its nuclear program.
In April of 2024, Iran launched an attack on Israel with missiles and drones as a response to the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Between October 2024 and June 2025, Iran launched multiple attacks on Israeli cities including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem whom Iran considers its regional enemy.
The US strike targeted Nuclear sites in Iran’s capital Tehran and Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed.
Iran responded by firing missiles at multiple US military bases in the Middle East. This includes the US Air Base in Al Udeid in Qatar, Naval base in Bahrain, US military facilities in Kuwait, and US military sites in Iraq.
All countries experienced significant damage and loss of American forces.
Iran also responded by attacking central and Southern Israel and near military and airfields.

Some citizens have been injured in Israel as well as the Gulf countries.
In total, it has been confirmed that Iran has launched at least 711 missiles.
Gulf states have pledged to defend themselves against Iran, including by “responding to the aggression” if needed.
The Israeli government declared a nationwide state of emergency and many schools and public places have been closed down.
“There’s just no way that Donald Trump is going to allow this country to get into a multi-year conflict, with no clear end in sight and no clear objective,” Vice President J.D Vance says as tensions are still rising.
