As the night of Halloween approaches the Condemned Compound opened a Haunted House on Oct. 24-Nov. 1 for the public to enjoy. This Haunted House starts with a small explanation from Mr. Bones who is the Skeleton Guide that tells guests this is the last chance to turn back before things get too deep and scary.

Once they enter the house it seems as though they have truly been transported to an old abandoned haunted house from its abandoned rooms, body bags and rooms filled with dolls. The first room has 2 actors getting ready for what’s to come by staring down the guests and walking up to them. Throughout the house various monsters jump up, follow and yell.
More than just the scares itself make this haunted house so much more, Will Nouriani who has been a scare actor for the past 7 years explained his experiences.
“You develop a family and you develop really close relationships with the people you work with,” Nouriani explains. “You reach a point where all you focus on is next year, next October, and next Halloween season where I can go back with my second family and get right back into it,” Nouriani concludes.
The passion and dedication that the scare actors put into their work helps build that eerie Halloween vibe that makes the experience more enjoyable for the public.
While going through the Haunted House people may be frightened but the main thing the actors want people to take away is the moment of joy whether that’s either after or while watching a friend scream.
Troy Adams Hartensten who has been in this scene for the past 4 years voiced how he came about the opportunity.
“A friends mom told me to come to the haunted house 4 years ago and I’ve been bushman ever since.” Adams
Hartensten goes on to say, “I love my character and it’s always fun to see people turn around and yell like a little baby.” Adams Hartensten concludes.

This love and passion for Halloween from the scare actors is what makes the experience seem so real and enjoyable. They do their best to share the love they have for Halloween by trying to get the most reactions.
Anthony Ontivros, who is a second-year scare actor expressed,
“Halloween just shows that there is thing’s you’re supposed to be afraid of but it’s always fun in the end.” Ontivros explains.
