The boys basketball team put on the first ever Bulldog Madness, a preseason pep rally to get the school excited for the coming season.

Bulldog Madness was the first introduction to the teams for the 2025-2026 season

Junior, Aiden Guzman, a second-year varsity guard, expresses how this new addition to the season raises the bar and increases anticipation.

“If this is how were staring the year, the expectations are already set high and I’m excited to be a part of it,” said Guzman.

Junior, Gabriel Canalita, explains how the event brough the school together.

“It allowed me to connect with the community around us, and become truly united,” Canalita stated.

It shows how the event brought people into the same environment. Letting everyone interact and support the team together.

These moments can help build a stronger connection between the school and the people who come to watch.

This pep rally had the community participating in activities such as the free throw competition between young players and even some staff members.

Maximillian Russel planner and organizer of this school event had a long and tiring process, but in the end it was well worth it.

“I had to spend weeks meeting with different groups of people on campus to make sure everyone had a role,” Russel explained.

Russel focused his planning on how to make the night feel big, organized and fun for everyone.

During this process, the varsity team had to film promotional videos for the event to show people what Bulldog Madness was really about.

Russel’s end goal for this event was to see everything come together.
