Many students at Tracy High School have very strong opinions about the organization ICE and what they are doing. To show their disagreement towards the organization, they did a walk out on Friday, Jan.30, 2026.

Many students feel the need to protest and share their opinion towards ICE and their actions.
“Even if you think you’re just one person, if there’s multiple people, everyone will have a voice,” Sophia Troia states, a student at Tracy High. “I think it’s okay to have disagreements, but to shout racial slurs and to be very discriminative about it, that’s inappropriate and rude.”

Mollie Salas, another student at Tracy High School shared her thoughts.
“I think that we need to speak up about what’s going on because everything that’s going on isn’t right,” Salas expressed. “And since we can’t vote, using our voices is the only way to stand against that,” Salas adds.
Every student who protested all wanted the same thing, to bring awareness to the situation. Despite the disagreements with people, they will continue to stand for their beliefs. They will keep using their voice to get their point across to others despite the hate and hateful speech they received during the protest.
