On Oct. 31, 2025, the Tracy High School seniors participated in the annual tradition of the Senior Tailgate.
Students were provided with the opportunity to soak in the sun and spend time with their friends in the backfields instead of attending their fifth and sixth period.
The event offered several activities for entertainment, ranging from ping pong and football to simply just sitting around with friends or playing card games.
Tracy High senior, Joanna Alvarez, revealed the emotions felt when attending the event.
“It’s just sad seeing how I’m already a senior and it’s getting more real each event I go to,” Alvarez expressed.
In addition to games, the event featured a snack station in the shade where students could relax, eat and cool off.

Elijah Castanon, a senior in Tracy High Leadership, described the work went into this event.
“We had to make the posters, get enough water and chips for the students,” Castanon explained.
The leadership students worked behind the scenes to make sure that all that the seniors would be able to have a great time filled with laughter, fun and food.
Alvarez wanted to appreciate the final moments on campus and make the most of it.

“Since it’s my last year it’s good to experience events like this,” Alvarez reflected.
Caleb Khimthang, a senior at Tracy High, took note of the unity brought by the event.
“The student body in general they all came together to throw an amazing tailgate,” Khimthang noted.
The Class of 2026 came together as a community, celebrating the past four years they have shared together, and the memories they built along the way.
