On Nov.19, Tracy High Boys Basketball hosted a foundation game against Hilmar and won with a score of 96-30.
A foundation game is a pre-season game to build the foundation of the team and does not count toward the season’s records.
As the players ran out to the court, the crowd abrupted with cheers.

Tracy High Junior Aiden Guzman believes the team’s cooperation and enthusiasm led to an outstanding victory against Hilmar.
“We had a great mindset going into the game. It’s the first game of the season and we’re really excited to be out there and play together for the first time,” Guzman shared.
Tracy High Senior Maximillian Russell expresses the need for any improvements, to grow as a team and bounce back even stronger for future games.
“We don’t want any slow starts to any quarters, like in the third quarter. That would be scary against a really good team,” Russell explained.
Coach Junior Cueva was proud of his team’s achievements.
“Especially being up by a lot, you could easily tune out and I was proud of how no matter which player came in, they were making an effort and making a play,” Cueva remarked.
The team looks forward to a victorious season ahead of them as they continue to work hard and achieve their goals.
