On Friday Jan. 9, the Tracy High Dance Team hosted a showcase in the school theater of many routines they have worked on year-round, including senior solos.
Many other studios in town showcased some routines at the event including Academy of Performing Arts, Powerhouse Dance Academy and Devotion 2 Motion Dance.
It was a very successful show with 175 tickets sold and concessions.
Head Coach of the dance team Nicole Adkins expressed her pride in the team.
“I was so proud of the girls for remembering all the routines right after a long winter break,” Adkins explained.
Adkins was very impressed by the dance team putting in many hours to be ready in a short amount of time. This showcase was a great way for the team to show all their hard work.
Senior Sarah Ecclestone explains her take aways.
“I enjoyed moments where we connected with the coaches during practice and in the wings,” Ecclestone states.
Ecclestone highlights the importance of the behind-the-scenes moments during practice. These connections with the coaches and peers played a role in strengthening overall team morale.
Senior Keira Jones expressed what the this means to her.
“sharing this final season alongside my fellow seniors made it even more special as I have seen them grow with me,” Jones said.
Jones shared how the moments on and off the floor highlight the bonds built through dedication and practice. It is a reflection on the years of growth and shared experiences with the senior class.
This showcase represented the talent, effort and creativity of every performer. It was a celebration of teamwork and dedication making a memorable close end to the season.
