On Friday, Feb. 13, Tracy High School celebrated its annual Hoopla Black Light Rally, a tradition that highlights the crosstown rivalry game against West High School.
The week was filled with activities such as spirit days, lunchtime events and the long-awaited black light rally.
The rally featured performances from the Tracy High cheer team and dance team, as well as appearances by various clubs, the announcement of Mr. and Ms. Bulldog, and interactive games where students and some teachers competed to win goodie bags.
The leadership class worked throughout the week to produce a successful and entertaining rally for staff and students.
Freshman Vice President Alissa Vieira shared how the group’s vision came together and how the hard work paid off.
“We knew going into it that it might be a little rough since it was our first year, and we expected a few challenges, but everything came together better than we imagined,” Vieira said.

Vieira explained the long hours were worth it and that the rally met expectations.
Senior Franklin Duong was excited to highlight the cooperation and involvement from everyone during the rally. “Everyone was so hyped, and the crowd was especially really loud when Mr. and Ms. Bulldog were walking,” Duong said.
Junior class Vice President Mikayah Moore shared how the rally builds excitement for the game. “If many don’t look forward to the game itself, then the rally gives them something to look forward to,” Moore said.
The rally set a memorable and exciting tone for the Class of 2026’s final Hoopla.
